The practice,
on the record.
GAW CONSULTING LLC is a management and technical consulting practice headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio — organized to locate the question, work the analysis and leave the client with an answer they can act on.
Why this
practice.
GAW CONSULTING LLC was organized around a premise every experienced client eventually learns: consulting that can't be written down isn't consulting — it's conversation. The practice exists to close the gap between what an advisor says in the room and what the client can act on after the meeting ends.
Six quadrants run under one standard. Management and administrative work for organizations in transition; workforce and compensation counsel for the people side; market and sales advisory for the commercial side; supply-chain and logistics for operations; environmental restoration planning; and a technical-scientific bench covering two dozen disciplines.
The Cincinnati office is the practice's office of record. Engagement files, findings, recommendations and the rationale behind them — every advisory relationship produces a written trail, kept current, producible to the client on request.
"The client pays for the reasoning — not the conclusion. An answer without analysis is just a guess with confidence."
GAW Consulting · Advisory doctrineAxioms of
the practice.
Six principles that hold in every quadrant.
Written before worked
The engagement memo defines the question, deliverables, timeline and fee basis before the first billable hour — no open-ended consulting.
Analysis on the record
Recommendations cite their basis — data reviewed, benchmarks compared, alternatives weighed. The client can argue against us.
Advise, then leave
Counsel is a defined engagement — the file closes when the deliverable lands. Implementation runs on the client's authority, under a separate scope if we're involved.
Conflicts declared
Where we serve clients in related areas, the overlap is disclosed in the engagement memo — not discovered mid-engagement.
Files kept
Engagement records are maintained to statutory retention — producible for the client, their counsel or their auditors on lawful request.
The question plotted
A problem that can't be placed on the quadrant grid hasn't been scoped — every engagement starts by locating the question on the axes.
